Here's something unorthodox. A tip you are unlikely to find in a conventional Paris travel guide. Unless it's written by a comic book nerd, anyway.

Those of you who are not all about 'cathedrals-and-museums-and-designer brands-and-street cafes-and-random-walks-along-the-river'; Paris is yet to surprise you big time. If you think all Paris has to offer revolves around perfume, macarons, cafe au lait and Mona Lisa; think again. Better still, keep walking southward after your tour at Notre Dame and find yourself in the awesome shops there like Pulp's Comics at Rue Dante...

The only thing you'll regret later is not having a couple of thousand euros to spend on Tintin figures.
